Still Alive

I haven't posted in a LONG time. Here is the cliffnotes version of my life right now:
1) I am in the writing seminar portion of my thesis. (Hence the quiet.)
2) I turned in my resignation at GIS to get more time for research and maybe a life.
3) I decided to continue on and get my PhD which means one more year of coursework and years of dissertation work. I won't know if I get in until spring.
4) I have the coolest research assistantship ever. I get paid to go to the coast to do research and stay in a beach house. I also get a free trip to Boston.
5) I have been very involved in student government and my Presidency as our department representative. I am nerdy so I love it.
6) We recently celebrated our seventh wedding anniversary.
7) I turned in a paper proposal for a conference session. I don't know when I will hear back, but it has to be before January.
That is pretty much it for now. The day to day is boring, but I enjoy it.
